‌• SC notice to ED on bail request of Chidambaram in INX Media case

•‌ Preeminent Court has requested that the ED record an answer by Monday

‌• The next date of hearing for the case is November 26

The Supreme Court on Wednesday gave a notice to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the bail supplication of senior Congress pioneer P Chidambaram in the INX Media tax evasion case.

Chidambaram had moved toward the Supreme Court testing the judgment of the Delhi High Court denying him bail in the illegal tax avoidance case held up by the ED.

The test office has been approached to document an answer by Monday. The following date of hearing is November 26.

A seat, headed by recently sworn-in Chief Justice of India SA Bobde, had on Monday requested the posting of the bail supplication.

The Delhi High Court had on November 15 rejected Chidambaram's' bail supplication for the situation recorded by the ED, saying by all appearances claims against him were not kidding in nature and he played a "functioning and key job" in the offense.

Chidambaram was first captured by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on August 21 in the INX Media debasement case and was conceded bail by the Supreme Court on October 22.

Chidambaram, who was captured by the ED in the illegal tax avoidance case on October 16, is by and by in legal care till November 27 under the request for a preliminary court.

The CBI had enrolled the case on May 15, 2017, charging abnormalities in a Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) leeway allowed to the INX Media bunch for accepting abroad assets of Rs 305 crore in 2007 during Chidambaram's residency as the Union money serve.

From that point, the ED had stopped a tax evasion case in such manner around the same time.

Theories of law and sociology

Theories of law and sociology provide different lenses to understand the relationship between law, society, and individuals. Law is often seen not just as a set of rules but as a reflection of societal norms, power structures, and historical context. Sociology of law explores how law functions within a society and how it shapes and is shaped by social relationships, structures, and institutions. It suggests that law is not just a human invention but is rooted in a higher, universal moral order. Natural law theorists argue that certain principles of justice and morality are inherent in nature, discoverable through human reason, and should be reflected in human-made laws. Key Figures : Aristotle, Thomas Aquinas, John Locke. Core Ideas : Laws should be based on moral va...
