Madras, high court too delivered a landmark judgement on referring transsexual as a bride.

IN THE CASE OF CJI RANJAN GOGOI
Supreme Court has asked a Punjab-based lawyer to furnish material in support of his claim that there was a conspiracy to frame Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi in a sexual harassment allegation raised by a sacked Supreme Court employee.
It has already being a raging topic which was demanding attention. Allegations on the CJI were spread like a wildfire. Finally, the Supreme Court took a step to carry out the proceeding.

Madras High Court has held that as per Hindu Marriage Act, a transsexual is also a "bride" and the term would not necessarily refer only to a woman. Now there has been an alteration among the provisions because earlier there wasn't any clear specification of transsexual in Hindu Marriage Act.
